There has been news that the 27-year-old Argentian was looking for a fresh challenge in his career and there were rumours of The Blues keen on bringing him to Stamford Bridge. Messi’s ex-teammate at the Nou Camp, Cesc Fabregas returned to the Premier League, earlier this year after being signed by Chelsea for a sum in the region of €33 million on a five-year contract deal and had said earlier that he would be delighted if Messi agreed to come to Chelsea.Mourinho had earlier expressed his displeasure at the way the Financial Fair Play(FFP) rules were benefiting only the bigger clubs.
